Youthful!
Enthusiastic!
Exuberant!
These and so many more energetic words characterise our dear “MP”
Marlon Pee as we affectionately called him was very fond of his nephews and nieces. He
related to us as if we were his brothers and sisters : an uncle who felt more like a school
paddy . He was so easy to talk to about anything.
Any time any of us visited London where he lived for a several decades, Marlon was the
person to give you your first accommodation, job and general orientation regarding the UK
before you found your feet. He was kind and so fun loving and we enjoyed ourselves very
much in his company.
Uncle Marlon made it a point to attend every event concerning any nephew or niece be it a
graduation, birthday or marriage ceremony. He made the whole occasion fun and made sure
we all enjoyed ourselves.
He was literally the life of the party. His signature dance moves always featured at every
single ceremony.
Uncle Marlon, A man of many talents who knew what he wanted and could achieve. Your
presence was always felt at every event, and your dancing could not go wrong, in fact it put
all of us to shame. Uncle Marlon took a key interest in Caribbean music and showed off his
moves at every possible occasion.
Whenever anyone of us graduated, you would tell us to keep pushing at our dreams and to
always listen to our parents so we would continue to be successful. Those words have stuck
with us and will continue to live on.
Uncle Marlon loved politics. You would always find him with one nephew or niece arguing
passionately about politically related issues. He was always open to hearing our views on
political issues especially in our country. We were all so excited when he was eventually
appointed the DCE of the Guan district. His hard-work and dedication to the NPP had finally
paid off. It is unfortunate he did not live long enough to achieve all his big dreams for the
people of the district but we are consoled by the fact that he died doing what he loved and
was passionate about.
Uncle Marlon was always smiling and ready to enjoy all of what life had to offer. He loved all
of us dearly and always showed it. May you rest in peace with our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ.
Uncle Marlon, you will be sorely missed at all our upcoming events.
